Drip rails, sealer or not?

I removed the vinyl top from my dart and am going with just paint on the roof this time. It looks like I need to put sealer or some type of filler in the drip rails.
Any ideas as to what I need to use?
Or maybe a tip or two about how to do it with out making a big mess.
 
3M, Fusor, and a few others have self-leveling seam sealer for applications like this. Fill the gap and watch it do it's thing. Should be able to find it at your local auto body supply house.
 
How does self-leveling work with the A pillar drip rails as well as the rear rails? Wouldnt that stuff just ooze down the channel?
