Drive shaft choices.

Could an aluminum drive shaft, out of a pick up work if you cut it down?
anyone done this? think there would be any advantages? disadvantages?

I would think it would be nice and light. Plus they are really thick and strong.. No?

yes..find a driveline guy who will cut it down and put on your u-joints etc..and you're good to go...alos, look in caddys to find nice long ones...strong and lighter...

good point.. would you see and advantages to this? would it be lighter and stronger then a stock 66 shaft?
