Drive shaft for the big auto to 4 speed swap?

Hey All,

I've started the swap from my 904 to the 833, and had a question about the drive shaft. I don't know anything about the length needed yet, but wanted to know if the one i used with the 904 will be too short to start with, or will it be long enough to make work (cut if necessary) when I find the right slip yoke?

Oh yeah, the car is a 67 dart GT with 8 3/4. Using the a-body a833 4 speed.

I think an A-body 4 speed uses the same driveshaft length as a 904, just a different yoke. The driveshaft in my 4 speed A-body is 52 inches.

Pretty sure your right about that.

Drive shaft lengths are the same from dart to dart, and dusters to demons, dart sports.

The Yoke may be the same as well, just depends on the spline count. I tried to get a Drive shaft lenth altered and they shaft has some rubbber in it makeing it a pain to alter over a certain length. at least that is what I was told from the Fab shop that had my drive shaft. I was trying to alter it for a BB conversion though....You should be A OK!
