Can anyone tell me the proper driveshaft length for a 1973 Plymouth Scamp with a 727 transmission and 8 3/4 rear?

I don't think a scamp ever came with a 727 trans in it from the factory but I could be wrong. I also think they went to the 8.25 rear end in 73 as well so you will have to try to use 72 measurements. The chart I saw shows a 72 dart with a 904 and an 8.75 rear measures 51.96 ". I just took a 727 out of my 66 cuda and put a 904 back in it. The 727 drive shaft id roughly 4-4.5" shorter than for the 904. So i would have to say that the drive shaft you need is probably around 47.5-48". I can get the exact difference tomorrow if you like.

Yeah that would be great if you could get me a measurement. The car is a 318 with 904 and 7 1/4 rear which I am currently swapping for the 727, 8 3/4 set up. Thanks

I turned my Scamp into a Dart and took the 318/904/7.25 and tossed the for a 360/727/8.75.
I used a drive shaft from a 1978 Dodge van type motor home.
The actual measurement is 47.99" I am using the 7290 yokes.

did you have to modify that dodge van driveshaft, or was it the correct legnth?
