Has anyone used a late model Ram aluminum drive shaft in their car? My neighbor slid his truck off in a ditch and dented the shaft. He bought one from the local wrecking yard and gave me the dented one. It is marked Alcoa 6061 T 6 and I think thats a fairly strong grade of aluminum. I know I will have to get it shortened as well as balanced and that will do away with the dent. I curious as to whether or not it will stand up to a fairly high HP small block and possibly later to an even higher HP big block. Thanks,
