I'm needing the factory driveshaft length, center to center u joint, for a Duster with a 727 and 8 3/4 rear. I don't have my drive train installed yet, but have a chance to get a driveshaft if I can come up with the correct length.

Best way to do it is the actual measurement with yoke in the transmission.

According to the 1970 FSM

49.27"

On my '70 Duster with BB/727 and B-Body rear my shaft ended up at 45.5". That's with the yoke 3/4" out from the end of the factory tailshaft seal. The sedans will be longer.

The 45.5" sounds right because the 727 is about 4" shorter than the 4 speed which is 49.27"

So much for the FSM being correct... LOL

I looked in my parts book.
727 8 3/4 = 44.99"
904 8 3/4 = 49.27
