Hey guys and gals,
I was driving my 67 Barracuda with 10 inch drum brakes on Saturday. Everything was fine. I backed out of the driveway and she would not go! I thought the e-brake was engaged but it was not. I backed up and got her back in the driveway. I raised the front end and the wheels would not turn by hand. I had to loosen the brake adjusters on both front wheels. the right side was way out. Drove it on Sunday and everything was fine. Has anyone seen this? All components on all four wheels are a little over one year old and not over 500 miles on all parts. She stops fine and has so until Saturday. What gives?

Lots of things it could be. First thing I recall that causes sudden lock up is steps worn into the backing plates. Pics of the assembly may provide more clues.

I should have taken pictures. I will when I get some time. This may just force me into a disc setup. I don't know they have been flawless for over a year though!
