What are the advantages of the dual field alternator over the single field? Is this a worthwhile mod, and what could you expect to gain by adding a dual field alt.?
I did the conversion on my 68 and am very happy with the results. Before at an idle the lights would pulse. After they are rock steady.
Since I was changing alternators and rewiring things I also put on a 65 amp alternator and changed the main wiring to 10 gauge throughout.
