Ask him how the 67 Dart rear bolted in because they do no interchange he's bsing or it's a fudged together car.
I will tell you, it is POSSIBLE to put a A Body 8 3/4 in a F body car. I took one out and now have the 3rd member in my Dart and the housing sitting in the barn with the axles.
The guy had put a 400 in the car then blew the rear end in the car. Had an 8 3/4" rear end installed but then had to buy different Cragers to fit. They pulled the springs in to fit the A Body perches. He told me he wanted the right rearend so the springs were not pulled in.
I got the rear end and cragers for swapping the rearend to the correct Aspen/Volare rearend. I got one out of a station wagon and cost me $110.00 and a few hours labor, traded the deep dish small bolt pattern wheels for a set of shallow SBP
Was it the right thing to do, NO, but it can and HAS BEEN DONE.
Since I bought a New 1977 Aspen with T Top I would liek to have this car. I think it looks pretty good and would make a good car to restore/modify.
Is it over priced? Old Cars Price Guide shows from $5200 for #1 to $624 for # 6 about $2,400 for average.
It does not give options that would increase the value, but for someone like me that bought one new it would be worth more if I wanted another since it is a T Top car. And yes they cracked and leaked. i had both mine replaced under warranty and would have fine snow come in when driven in the winter, and water leak on your leg when raining
Now if it was a 77 Aspen Custom, midnight blue with black top and interior, I might have to buy it. I ordered mine with almost every available option, 360, auto, cruise, tilt, console, posi, fold down seat, T Tops, power windows, locks and seat
