Dumb question ... most probably

Hi,
on the picture you can see an interference with the pivot for the secondary. On the part there is an ear ... Was wondering if that ear is suposed to be use for something, I can't see any use for it !!!
I can break that ear or buy a carb spacer...
Holley 1850 carb on a Holley Street Dominator intake ... both holley and it does not fit.

Holley...If I'm correct both are Sec vacume limit stops. Get a spacer so it won't interfear with your intake.

Before you get a spacer, try an OE Carter gasket. There very thick. I'll come up with a measurement tomorrow if you want.

Looks like you could also grind the intake in that spot.

I think I will go with the spacer then.

The gasket would have to be very very thick ... I guess, and I don't want to grind the intake, just in case ... for resale or use of another carb.

Thanks again, I know i might as look like an obvious solution, but just wanted to make sure that I did not miss something before buying the spacer.
