This is a steel core that was recovered new pad , the area in back is hard to see but not quite a crisp line, slight indentation I tried to show in picture but camera phone isn't the best , but overall I think it looks good and not a plastic core , it is black , would prefer local to avoid shipping and can be inspected first hand , if it doesn't sell local then we will talk a shipping cost
