Any guesses? 400 based 512, 440 source kit with lightweight crank, 14to1 with indy 440-1 heads howards solid roller 283-285@ .050 .675 lift indy intake with 1050 methanal carb. Its the 230 coldweather block that is half filled with a stud girdle and billet main caps.

I’m gather parts for a 499ci mild build , I have the block and 4.015” eagle crank, eddy rpm intake, and headman headers. I’ll Probably use the 440 source rods and pistons. Not sure on cam and heads. I would like to find some aluminum heads and probably do a roller cam if I can.

740 HP at 6500
690 tq at 5900.
That should be a real ripper.
4150 or 4500 carb ?
I base my guess off of 685 from my 470 with 13.0:1 way smaller flat tappet cam & trickflow 240s, but I do run a tunnel ram/ 2- 850s .
My peak HP 5800 and tq 4900

Youre the closest, it made 798hp at 6700 and 712 tq at 5900 4500 carb. It would go more but we ran out of carb.

dang I was way to conservative I guess on the rpm I didn’t think they twisted up that high. I was thinking a 6k red line. You guys are building true monsters.

More carb and probably rpm with that large 50 number on the camshaft, probably get in the 800 range I would bet ! I would think with that large 50 number camshaft and heads that dude will rpm on up there !
