E brake cable

I need the brake cable that runs from the front of the car. I've replaced the back ones, but called my local supplier and had no luck. Anyone bought one lately, or know where I might find one.
 
Sorry, I'd like to be more help. To quote Jerry McQuire; "I need you to help me so that I can help you." How, you ask? Need year, make, and model of car plus pertinents e.g. using a late A-body cable arrangement.

I went tooling around Rock Auto using your avatar as a guide. They seem to have you covered.
 
The right stuff has some nice looking parking brake cables.

There are two styles for the a-bodies. You need to know which ones that you need, because the guys at the Right Stuff can't tell you...

There is the one with the two equal length axle cables, and the other style where the one side is longer and they run up the driver's side of the car...

I've tried parts store repros with no luck. don't look like the originals, don't fit right...


The Right Stuff is the closest to what originally came off the car...

Try Fine Lines. I got mine thru Jegs for a 63 Belvedere.
 
My apologies. 1965 Barracuda Formula S. The adjustment is frozen. I have sprayed it with nut buster several times, but can't seem to get it to loosen. Any ideas of how to get it to break free.

A fair number of folks on FABO like PBlaster to deal wiwth rust. I prefer KROIL, as do a minority on the board. Clean it, wipe with a dry towel and put a small amount of either recommended product on the nut and threads that seem to be fused. Let it set overnight.

Can you heat it with a torch, propane works pretty good...

Heat is great at getting rusted bolts out...
 
Thanks everyone. I've been using Pb blaster, spraying it well several days in a row. Perhaps I could disconnect the part and soak it. I don't really have access to apply heat to it. My job is taking a toll at the present time wise. Thanks so much for the advise.
 
If you can not use heat on it you can pack it in dry ice. Let it sit for a bit and the cold will often shrink the parts to break the rust bond between them. Last resort you can get a chemical rust remover to dissolve the rust. You would need to soak it submerged in the solution for some time, meaning days to a week.
