I just installed a new 2-1/4" exhaust system from manifold to chrome tip on my '64 Valiant with a stock 225 slant. The muffler is a stock Maremount with offset outlets. Though not loud, it has an annoying resonance at cruise.
Has anyone added a resonator in the restricted space between the axle and rear tailpipe hanger? Looks like the maximum length would be about 10-12" with a maximum 3-3-1/2" diameter.
