I always ask too many questions, so here I go again. I am looking at the early 64 valiant I have mentioned in other posts.

I have a pile of 73 or so A body parts. LBP disks, 8 1/4" rear etc.

What parts will interchange? I think most will, but I really don't know. The car is a /6 now and could go V8 in the future. Although a /6 build could be interesting.

I'm wearing the captain obvious hat here, but the header end of it is not good, correct? They are either hard to get, or real expensive or you cut the hoo hoo out of the inner fenders?

Does TTI make headers for these yet?

Thanks for your patience, ROB

The brakes and rear are a bolt-on. Engine swaps do not need a K-member change. Later transmissions will bolt in, but an adaptor is needed to keep your push button shifter. Stoch exhaust will support about 250-300 hp, beyond that start getting creative.

A biult slant stands a better chance in an early A-body due to their being lighter than the later cars.

USE the Search Function, ever? ;)

Yes,you can convert to big bolt pattern brakes,
you need the upper control arms, and spindles,
from the newer car.

The rears will swap, you may need driveshaft customized work,
{Shorten, and diff ujoint caps}.

The body parts,
Nothing swaps, 64- 70's/.

TTI Headers, you have $1000.00 to spend? If not,
use stock 273 manifolds, or, cheaper;
keep the /6 in the car, and drive it. LOL.

Read, this forum, and others, for more information,

OK. That sounds similar to my understandings of the earlier car.

It sounds like I need to look into the other Valiant and see what is up.

I have a friend that used to race /6's and he has told me that I need to build the one that is in there.

Lots to think about. BTW-I live near Klamath Falls, in southern Oregon.

I will look into the other forums. There are a couple of them that I have not heard of.

Thanks for the guidance, ROB
