After pondering what to do about freshing up the 413, I found a NEW 1978 440 Short Block that I couldn't pass up!

It has never been in a car, was still on its original wood pallet and under a a Chrysler box they started to disintegrate when we moved out of the guys garage.

Still has a Chrysler Tag on it

Now I need to find the funds to build it!

Good grief...what size Easter egg was that in????!! That bunny's got to have a hernia!!

I still await the day when a crate Hemi parachutes from the sky into my back yard.

UPDATE: After 4 months, the short block was torn down, the crank and rods have been balanced, a new set of Forged Kieth Black Pistons are nestled nicely in the cylinder walls, everthing is held together with new ARP bolts. A nitraded COMP Cams Xtreme Energy Hi-Lift Cam and Lifter Kits is in place (525 lift) , with a billet double roller chain. The heads have been ported, a COMP Cams Pro Magnum Shaft Mount Roller Rocker Arms are waiting to be bolted up

There is finally Light (and a huge bill) at the end of the tunnel!
