I pulled the radio out of my '68 Dart because I thought there was no power going to it, It turns out that the tach was wired to the radio as it's power supply. The radio is burnt out. What I am wondering is what correct wire should I be looking for under the dash as a power source for the tach?

The radio being burned out shouldn't effect the power to the tach unless the radio blew the fuse. Any switched 12v source will work though. Just get out your test light or voltmeter and start probing.

I believe if the car came with a console tach that the tach and radio do share a feed . Some Cudas have a feed straight from the fuse box( I think it`s a dark blue wire) but the tach`s in the dash and with your Dart I`m not certain if they did the same thing. It`s worth taking a look.

Mopars don't need radios any way, just listen to the flowmasters and rely on the MSD chip...heh heh
