Are you going to grind down these plug welds ?

Yep. I've got a bunch of metal finishing work to be done, and finishing work. I was on a deadline to get it on the road. Was getting threatened. :wack:

The silver lining is, it gives me a chance to sort out all the mechanical work, glass sealing, panel alignment and upgrades without dinging the paint.

When I get a garage I'll finish up the bodywork!

Since then I've installed:

QuickFuel Slayer 750 w/ AEM UEGO wideband
Home built 42RH w/ 9.5" PTC 3500 stall
Hurst promatic shifter
AFCO 20231 Leafs

On the list as funds allow:

11x11x1.5" Trans cooler
Doug's headers
1.12 FFI Torsion bars
FFI brake pads
Hotchkis tuned shocks
Rear brake proportion valve
17" Mustang wheels sitting on the porch, need some sticky tires! Yokahoma AD08R maybe? Spacers are in the closet.
ATI harmonic balancer

Will post up some pics when she's getting there!

Nice! Keep up the good work ....I'm painting my engine bay and dropping a 340 in soon ....these threads keep me motivated :)

AWESOME Build! I'd like to see it in person sometime! I'm about to dive into replacing the floor pan and I can see how it can easily dive down a rabbit trail and fix things as I find them. Your build report is quite motivating!

Yup, shes an outdoor dog so I've got to keep the soaking out.. Come to find out these cars weren't meant to be waterproof...
Every one of the ones i restored, i have chased leaks all over. Must be par for the course. LOL

Mine is outside too, not covered. Have a lot of time in leak chasing. I wonder how many guys with garage kept trailer queens never leak check... And get a car full of water first time they get caught in a downpour at a show. :BangHead:

It's about time, where the hell have you been.

Junkyard T5. Cleaned, inspected, added a counter shaft plate, set tight specs, right speedometer gear and a good shifter wrapped up with anaerobic sealer; been solid!

Bonus for the true nerds: A new tailshaft bushing and seal, I had to hone the damn bushing for 30 minutes, PITA!

Here is where it came from.

It was found in this state, I had to go for it!

Cruised to DirtFish rally school with a friend!

Out at Warren G. Magnison Park

It's hard keeping a tire underfoot. Gonna need a better traction tire soon..
