I got a holley sniper efi kit with sniper efi fuel tank, I eventually want to install on my 5.9l 68 Valiant, my question is can I install the tank with efi pump now with the carb with return line and regulate the pressure down or would that over heat the pump??

Are you running a return line with it or not? I would think if it has a return line it shouldn't be a problem. Without a return might be a problem.

I would recommend you getting a return line the same size as the fuel supply line, that will help keep the pump from becoming angry

With an electric fuel pump you should use a carbureted bypass regulator, when using a carb.

Aeromotive sells a regulator that you can use for both efi and a carb by just switching out the spring. You must use a return and if your supply is 3/8 you will be fine with 5/16. Common is to use the original 5/16 supply as the return and plumb a new 3/8 feed.

Absolutely, regulate to 6psi and send the rest back on the same or bigger return line. Keeps fuel cool and filtered too.
