egr valve block off

i know ive seen it on here but cant find it how do i block off my egr valve and what gasket material works. i had a major problem and long story short change intak for nothing this one has egr valve and it got dented in by something while off the car it has i little rough idle it diddnt have before but no hesitation or anything thought it might need removed thanks

I go to the local hardware/big box store and get a junction box cover for less than a buck. Then stop at a parts store and get 2 EGR valve gaskets. When I get home, I take a sharpie and trace the outline of one of the gaskets on the box cover and cut it out with a hacksaw. Drill the bolt holes in the piece I cut out and sandwich it between the 2 gaskets and remount the EGR valve. Works for me.
