On the advice from a buddy, I purchased an Electronic Conversion Kit, I guess as an upgrade. I have a few questions, but will just start with this.. My car was already electronic ignition, although not running when purchased.
This is the only "box" (photo attached) my car has and the plug comes right out of the harness. (2 prong). The original distributor in the car has the 2 plug wires coming out but I can't find in the harness or anywhere else it plugs into. Does that distributor plug go to another box that is just missing from the car..?

you're cornfusing electronic ignition with electronic voltage regulator parts.

the box you showed is an electronic voltage regulator. it takes an entirely different plug than the distributor, as you found out.

your electronic ignition takes a box that looks like hoppy posted above. follow the wires from that and you should find the pigtail for your distributor.

Ok.. Yeah, my terminology and confusion..
There isn't an electronic ignition module anywhere to be found...Maybe the previous owner removed it..? I can't even see where one was mounted before..
The kit I bought obviously has one, so I guess I'll just figure out a place to mount.

pictures can help in instances such as these...

but then again, you bought it non running, so maybe they just didn't get around to it?

The new kits kind of suck fast curve and China ecu if it is a new one. You might be better off with the old stuff and just recurve the distributor. Kind of looks like they just put the dist in. Does it have a tag on it and what car/motor/carb/trans? Does the disrtibutor plug into the harness at all?

The distributor in the pic is the new one.
The old distributor has the same plug.
It's a 72 Demon.. Came with a warranty/replacement engine, a 73 318..
I bought a 71 318 engine w Edelbrock 1406..
a833 4spd.

No where to plug distributor into the harness.

No it ain't. Yall are crazy. That three prong plug thing is a juju amplifier for amplifyin the jujus and the other thing hoppy showed is a early model flux capacitor for capacitatin the fluxes. Yall don't know nuthin.

ain't that the truth. i gotta write my name in my underwear so i don't forget. thankfully my old lady got me a p-touch label maker, now all my wrenches have stickers that say: hold this end

OK thats the plug your looking for. Follow the wire from the negative side of the coil it should go to the plug unless some how it has a points harness in it.
