Hi Folks - Checking to see if i can get some help with my Slant 6 Block Stamp Decoding.

Casting number: 2806830-3
No. stamped under N1 spark plug: F 225R 2720 0599

Appreciate the help.

I believe the 2nd number is the serial number. casting number 2806830 Forge number for 5 freeze plug block 225 RG? Is this engine a 1966?

Huh. I wrote those numbers by #1 down somewhere and can't find them. Mine got machined away when I had the block shave.

It’s currently in a 1967 Dart.
There are threads aplenty in this forum on this subject, just search it for 'block ID' or 'block serial number' etc., or get a copy of Doug Dutra's book.
Based on the casting # it doesn't appear to be the origional one, but a '68 crank would have a larger converter hub pocket so...

This is the serial from a '67 engine I purchased off another Member last year, mid-'60'sK mileage, they are doing a 340 swap. Your OE unit would be close to this one.
