Engine Identification!

HI!
The engine in my -64 valiant has been replaced, it´s still a 225" but i would like to know more.

On top of the block ( over the distributor) it´s says: I 225 R 1203 E
Under the intake manifold ( in the casting) it´s says: 330-3
6 1681 IF

I live in Sweden and english is not realy my language
so i apologize for any misspellings

just below #1 spark plug, behind the alternator is a machined pad on the top face of the block,, it is on that pad that the engine assembly plant stamped the engine build date and other info

hard to get to, probably under 100K of grime, but those are the number that are needed

I have no idea why flicker photos show this way on FABO,,but they do work, heading at the top of the box..

I'll take a partial crack at it.

I = engine plant code I do not know?
225 = displacement
R = regular fuel
1203 = Day 1203 is Thursday, November 12, 1964
E? E = cast crankshaft
maybe export?
 
are you sure the first mark is an I? could it be a mis stamped T?

on early 60's mopar's the first letter was the year, they did not use I, but did use T and T is 1963

225 is displacement
R regular gas
1203 is day and month,, March 3rd
E is also odd, as E indicates a cast crank,, cast cranks came into use in the mid 70's,, so something does not match up there either

at least you don'y have the x or maltese, those indicate undersize cranks...

I don´t know if the engine colour is giving any clue.

The engine block is light blue/ almost gray
the head is blue and the valve cover is black.
