found out that my air gap intake made by crosswinds, is not the problem, the spacer needed between the intake and carb for the linkage to clear does not seal perfectly, the summit racing carb off the autolite 4100 series carb runs great, looks great, like it belongs to the engine, but has a big leak coming form the base where the main full time vacuum port is at lower passenger front side of the carb. I'm trying another spacer the trans dapt 1" is what is on there now, have a moroso phenolic I found on e0-bay that might work on the way... has anyone ran into this issue using this carburetor? and no I am not putting an elderbrock carb on... doesn't look right under the mr. gasket street scoop....
other than that. she is running good!!!!

put the carb on your intake/spacer, sans gasket, try to slide a .005-.010 feeler gauge under the baseplate.

You shouldn't be able to slide it under. If you can look for linkages hitting on the intake or spacer.
