exhaust tip question

I have a 68 Plymouth Barracuda that I'm putting an exhaust on the end of this week trying to decide on what to go for with tips. I'd like the original square look, but the guy doing the exhaust does not have them. I could order them but what I was hoping for was that some people could post some photos of the back of their car with various exhaust tips. I'd like to see what some of them look like from the back before I pull the trigger with mine.

Wait a minute..."people" Hello Kitty" tailpipe tips? That is insane!
I don't have have any photos now but what about factory turn down style?
Like the tailpipes that came on cars not equipped with the optional bright tips.

Here is the problem with the rectangular factory tips. Even if you like the style they are cramping yours..

They do not flow the equivalent of 3" round. They make the car louder. Do they flow the same as 2' or 2.5".. ? I don't know. But when I was buying my tips I did the math and thus avoided the factory restrictive tips since I used a TTI 3" exhaust.

I used silverline 3" to 3" double rolled, miter cut polished tips.

I'm not looking for a screaming loud exhaust after all the car is going to remain a factory 318 2 barrel. I just want something with a little bit of a grumble.

First off what size pipe are you going to use a 318 2bbl definately doesn't need 3" pipes...

These are what i used on my 273 66 cuda 2 1/4 true duals bumped up to 2 1/2 for Magna Flow Magna Packs mufflers back down to 2 1/4 and bumped up to 2 1/2 for these tips. And yes she is obnoxiously loud!!!

Mine is a 3" with H-pipe, TTI 2" headers and Borla XR-1's. Engine is a 440. It's quieter than 2.5's, no H, Flowmasters and schumachers. I've always found that larger diameter is quieter as well as an X-pipe or H-pipe.

Your car really doesn't need 3" pipes though. I believe TTI also makes a 2.5" exhaust. I'd go with that and use anything except flowmasters. They'll drive you out of the car with drone.
