That wagon is uber-cool. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

Corresponded with their sister afterwards.

Apparently there were legal issues.

Never resolved at least to/with me.

Car surfaced years later for triple the price on a iffy site.

They were members of the pre internet Slant Six Club of America, and they imported several cars and followed all the rules at the time, in fact one car had to go to the Talladega Museum until it was old enough to street driven.

They were pretty cool.

We had been conversing for some time and I sent my BIL up there to buy a C pillar patch for his 66 Satellite project. They were very cool to him as well.

After the death, I guess there were probate and other issues.

I corresponded with the sister, and she assured me I would be contacted when they were resolved.

That never happened.

I ended up finding a 67 Belvedere wagon.

Almost as cool.

I can still picture that RHD "never offered in the US" body style with a GTS hood and a V8 with a 4 speed left hand shift.

I can assure you shifting a RHD car with the left hand IS a blast! I shoulda never sold my ute, 3-speed on the floor...

I used to drive RHD postal jeeps with a somewhat peppy 258 (or the 23x) six on a 1000 acre resort hotel/golf course property and would sometimes take them to the nearest town.

Auto on the floor, so not really the same.

...but it was fun and really didn't take too much getting used to.

We had not quite a dozen of them. Some of them would lay a pretty good one wheel patch.
