factory hydraulic rollers

Is anyone running the factory LA roller lifters with an aftermarket cam? How big a cam can you run with them? Can the stock cam be reground or will the base circle end up too small?

I dont believe there is a limit to the lift you can use with the stock rollers within a range, how much ? Not sure. I did not have any problems using them with a custom ground comp cam I had made up with about .500" lift.

I would talk to comp cams or hughes about the limitations. Hughes used to regrind roller cams, so they might be able to answer your questions on the base circle etc. Hope this helps !

I went for torque vs hp -

@ .050 I = 218 *, E = 224*, about .500 lift., I dont recall the centerline or the overlap. Motor is a 93 truck block using the 508 heads (IIRC), CR is 9.5:1.
