Back in the 70s my oldest brouther bought a new chebby. When the car came in he had his wife pick it up as he was working. He got home from work and started looking over the car. On the right side there was NO color coat from the belt line down! He took the car back for painting. But before that happened he got his pick of any car on the lot and the police were involved.
No charge and the sales contract was torn up.

Check out the tailgate of any new dark painted pickup truck. I was behind a Silverado a few years ago and could not believe that got past the QC. you could not even make out your reflection in it.
