Fair price for front disc brake conversion

Looking to fo the front disc brake upgrade. Whats the going rate and can anyone recomend a good shopt in the GTA.

You can do it cheaply these days using some proprietary brackets from Scarebird and generic Toyota and GM parts from your local NAPA.

I'm in Ottawa and have a good pair of spindles w/caliper brackets for $100. They will need to be cleaned up and painted.

(they are 73+B,R,f,M,J spindles. The calipers brackets are for the 10.89" disks)
all the other associated parts are available at your favorite parts stores.

Dr Diff kits are plug and play. Happy with my Dr Diff kit.
I did the conversion myself. Lots of painful issues with the brake lines as I replaced all lines with Inline tube products. If you are just converting to front disc it is fairly straightforward and easy.
Scarebird kits are good using Chevy cavilar calipers and Ford rotors, but not sure about what master cylinder is recommended.
With Dr Diff you get it all in one kit.
Before I tackled this myself I got some quotes that ran about $1500 labor plus the kit costs.

Probably the easiest way but then you're looking at different front wheels with the later 5x4.5" bolt pattern.

Yes but the kit says it will not work with 14" crager ss rims

I used the SSBC kit on my '71 Dart GT. Very complete kit. Also allows either the 5 on 4" SBP or the 5 on 4 1/2" LBP wheels. I run 14" X 5 1/2" Rallyes with no clearance issues. Can't speak if Cragars will clear. I got my kit through Mancini Racing for ~$830 about 10 years ago.
