So put a new fan on the 360 in our 69 Dart and had a loud clicking in water pump area when running. Found this washer behind the water pump pulley. Took it out and noise went away

Looks like someone was trying to shim the pulley for proper belt alignment.

Comes from the same people that put washers between axle studs and drum cause drum was hitting backing plate.
