Probably original. Putting my 85 D150 back together and have had trouble with fasteners rusting. Need for fenders, inner fenders grille, etc.

Soak them in a bucket of white vinegar for 24 hours or more, then pour baking soda in the vinegar. let it sit for an hour then wash them with a tooth brush, wire bush, green scrubby pad, etc... works every time and I've used it on everything from headlight buckets to brake calipers.
