It fit great and I used a gasket I got from RT Specialties. Don’t remember the name but it came in a green and white plastic bag if that helps.

Did I miss something? What happened to your windshield?
I was using an oem windshield that was beginning to delaminate when I put in. My stainless trim is perfect but I couldn’t get it to fit perfectly. It looked ok, but I wanted it to be perfect. So I was able to get the glass for a great price and I finally found an experienced glass guy to take out the old one and put in the new and get the trim just right. A planned upgrade...

Lookin great! Can’t wait to hear how the 3:55 and sure grip upgrade works out for you! Hoping to do the same upgrade to my 8 1/4 someday.

It’s Misty’s turn this week. The new suregrip locker and 3.55 gears are finally going in! The guys at the shop are telling me the old girl is getting lots of compliments as other customers pass through the shop and peek at her bottom. The Doctor Diff setup has gone in without issue....

The new gears and sure grip are A very nice upgrade!! She comes off the line like a rocket!!!
I wanted to say there is all kinds of information on FABO about 8.25 rear ends. A lot of it is misinformation. Guys talking about offset differential housings and the different carriers for gear ratios on either side of 2.45 etc. here is what the deal is. If you have a 2.45 open rear all you need to do is get the correct locker unit for the ring and pinion set you want to use. I got my set up from Doctor Diff and it went in perfectly. I would give him a call if you want to convert an open diff 8.25 to a sure grip. He know his stuff!

It’s nice to have her back home. Next up is new front seat upholstery and audio system upgrades....

Originally I thought it would be cool to have a Panasonic am-fm-cassette in the dash as I had in my high school car. So when I built the dash I put a Panasonic in the dash and had a Pioneer Bluetooth unit in the glove box. The setup sounded good but it was a pain to use the radio in the glove box. So I took it all out in favor of this Custom Autosound unit. Looks like an early 70’s era am radio when switched off. When turned on it’s a modern Bluetooth car stereo with 75 watts times 4 channels and all the hands free stuff. And everything is right there in the dash. Better EQ control and more options for the sub woofer output. Im using a Memphis powered sub woofer under the passenger seat. The new system sounds amazing, it’s easy to use and it will shake your balls loose too...

Nice.. Not sure what that unit cost you but there is a guy on YouTube that could take your stock AM radio and convert it into any setup you want. A little late tell you but keep in mind for future reference.

Thanks. I never had a stock radio and I’d be shocked if if anyone could make a radio from 1974 do everything this thing does. The unit was like $650

Its looking good, now you need to get your AC unit complete.

This should get you to one of his video's

I’d rather drive down the road with my hand in the glove box than bounce those knobs around counting how many times I moved them and talk to the lady. I’ll pass on that rig!
What I bought is simple. Besides, I added the gauges all around the radio since the dash was cut for the radio and the gauges when I got the car, so it’s modified from original anyway....

Finally got to some interior things I needed to get done. I had the wrong outer collar on my column so I also got a new wheel that has Plymouth text on the horn button. I didn’t like the big plastic one I had. Also needed to replace the turn signal switch once the flasher switch was broken off. Since I had to drop the column to get the wire cover off, I popped the cluster out and finally put the LED lamps in it. What a big improvement. Still a few things to do but she is coming along.

There is a Dodge dealer next to my office. I am always on the lookout for red. Then I had to cozy up to this old D100 I saw parked on the street ...

Looks like you had fun and brought home some hardware. I had to work Sunday and Monday, but it was double time .About 27 hours for two days.

I will have to say, you cleaned that one up real nice.

And here we are chasing UFOs and cruising the enchanted forest. If you look closely you can see a little alien in Front seat..
