Im 100% positive its A1 no other characters....and its a 75 model year LH23C"5"G112898
and yes the emissions sticker is still intact

I've corrected my decode to reflect correct model year (N37 changes, build date goes up by a year, model year goes up by one, no other changes).

"A1" is still a mystery.

Dan is there a difference between the swinger and the custom

Swinger = 2-door hardtop, available in low price/trim class (VIN starts with LL23…) or high price/trim class (VIN starts with LH23… like yours). The premium price/trim class was Dart Special Edition, which in a 2-door hardtop body style would have a VIN starting with LP23… The Dart Special Edition was the only 2-door hardtop not to bear "Swinger" nameplates in '74-'76.

Ok just curious because some vin readers register my car as a swinger and some as a custom its all very detrimental in the research process

In the 4-door sedan, LL41 was "Dart", LH41 was "Dart Custom", and LP41 was "Dart Special Edition". It sounds like some VIN decoders you're seeing are improperly written, referencing off the LH without factoring in the 23.

ok so weve established that my particular Dart is a run of the mill classic. Thanks for the assist Dan.

The 426 is in a '67 Satellite.. I'm thinking of buying it. Was hoping it was the 425 version.
