Looking at the fender tag for my sons Barracuda -66. There’s code p 9 small letter, I’ve looking for what this stands for but haven’t found anything. Any of you guys who can help us out with this one.
Many thanks in advance
Swedefish.

According to my go-to decoder in 66

Does this mean anything to your car?

Does your car have the GT trim package?

The "white book" shows 659 - Mirror-Delete Standard Outside

Can you post a photo of the fender tag and where the mirror would go on your door? If it was an export car, the codes may be different.

Here’s a pic of the fendertag. Long story short, I used to own this car back in -75-76. Sold after a while and bought it back in around 2007. It was sold new here in Sweden by
SAAB ANA who had the dealership by the time of the 60:ies. Traded with my son for a motorcycle at 2017. Now I’m fixing it up for my son.
Thanks guys/swedefish

Maybe the code was accidentally punched up side down and should be a 6? That would be the code for a remote (cable controlled) mirror. What mirror is on the car now?

If my memory serves me right I believe there were fendermounted mirrors on the car when I bought it 1975. I replaced the front fenders with fiberglass fenders. The original fenders were rusted out and the passenger side were dented bad.
The fendermounted mirrors could have been installed here in Sweden by SAAB ANA? And that the number 9 should have been a six as Mark mentioned?

I speculate that the car was ordered mirror delete (659) and they put fender mounted mirrors, common/required in some parts of the world.

It might have been stamped on there upside down. All the pictures available only show a 6 and the 66 decoder only shows a 6. Ill post a link to a decoder. Stranger things have happened!

Yes, I noticed that too. I guess the car is one of one with p code 9, he he.
Thanks guys, I guess it’s sorted out.

If the car came with fender mounted mirrors, I suspect the p9 code is mirror delete.

I’m not sure of what you mean GT
GT is a trim package I think there was an early A GT trim package but not totally sure.

In 67-69 it added several pieces of body trim and some other options.

On the 66 decoder it lists a lower molding on GTs I have seen some of the trim listed on the fender tag

On a Dart, sure. On a Barracuda, no.
