Fender Tag?

Hey guys, I went out to decode my fender tag yesterday and found out it's from a different car! A 4-door Valiant from '72, apparently. Is there any way to find out what would have been on my fender tag? All I have is the vin number on the dash (which matches the sticker on the door). I was bummed, but found out some interesting stuff about whatever car that fender tag came off of!

If you can locate the build sheet, you will have much more informaton than the VIN could give you.

I think the car has changed hands a few times before I bought it so my chances of finding a build sheet would be pretty thin?

I did find a receipt for a change of Neutral Safety Switch stuck in the heater core assembly when I changed that. The receipt was about 8 years older than I am!

You will never know if any (or how many) broadcast sheets are in it if you do not look. So, here is a list;

Taped to the back side / top of the glove box insert.
Under the front bucket seats in the springs (or under the front bench seat)
Under the rear seat bottom
In the rear seat back.
Under the package tray (speaker shelf)
Under the carpet
