fenderwell headers question

Going to be running a 440 with Hooker 1 7/8 fenderwells. Took the inner fenders out and held one in there. Looks like the brace between the rocker and frame is in the way.


Wondering what others have done. Just hack a hole in it? Or take it out? and did you put any other kind of bracing back in that area or is it just fine with out it?

You have to do a little trimming there.

Like said, just mock up the headers & trim the area thats needed.

Once you trim the brace it would be a good idea to weld 1/2 pipe piece back in where you trim.
