They are the same "pattern" --why won't it work? I've run a QJ on my 340 back in the day LOL
Secondary size difference issues.
The exact placement of the primaries could be an issue.
 
The carburetor mounting gaskets for the TQ and QJ are not the same. Post #27 shows the TQ gasket. This is a QJ gasket. Using one on the other can cause a vacuum leak.

RRR is correct. The pri & sec bore sizes & positions are the same for the QJ & TQ.

But the channels in the base plates are different & wrong gaskets can cause a vac leak. Also, the carb pad on a QJ intake may not seal properly if a TQ is used, especially at the rear.
