Lol you guys make me smile. It just so happens that the guy that's doing the paint thinks it to purple metallic.which kinda made me wounder as hes color blind. My wife likes it and so do i so i guess that's what matters.

I will be bringing it back home tomorrow to re install the motor. And don't worry those are not the valve covers i'm using.

6-7k is about normal for a decent (OEM but not show) quality paint job these days.

Material cost + labor time adds up fast.

Well i guess i'm lucky i paid for the paint cost 331.00 and the painting is on shop owner as i designed a paint booth heater for his paint booth. He paid for all material and i did the install.2 days to install heating system and a week of punching numbers into heat cal program and building a computer model of building and playing with numbers to make it work.Running 2 years now works great and saved him a boat load of cash.

More pics installed engine today and have some small things left to do like collector gaskets fill fluids set timing.

Hey Unknownsnake yes I made out ok but he made out better. As i did the job with material cost of just over 8 grand he was Quoted over 20 grand to have a heater made for his paint booth.Whats even better for him i heat it with 1.50 gal per hr oil where as they were going to do it with 2 oil nozzles each at 4.5 gal per hour.So if you ask me he made out even better. But im happy as he always helps me out when needed he good people.

Still in paint booth and not the best lighting.

Hey Tincup no its not plum crazy I got the paint threw TCP Global the color is Fire Mist Purple. I'll post up a link they were very reasonable. My body/painter said it was nice to work with and covered real nice. But he doe not like there clear.doors hood and deck lid done with TCP globals clear Body was done using RM Diamonts clear. The Diamonts Clear did not need to be buffed After spraying. It was just shinny. But with a little buffing the TCP global shined up nice .
