Finally pulled trigger on a front disc conversion

Cleaned up some of the old stuff (Elbow grease and scotch-brite pad!), chased some threads etc in preparation for the new install. Waiting on the new push rod boot and retainer to arrive.

That looks like a nice kit and you're doin some fine work too. Clean job! I see you also reuse those cat litter buckets. They work good for stuff, don't they?

Thanks RRR. And yes! I use them empty Litter totes for all kinds of stuff! Freecycling.

Good idea on replacing the brake lines, the old ones will break with no warning.

So true. As I started pulling the old stuff off the car One of the dried out flexible lines was nearly cracked through, and the solid lines were brittle as all get out. I suspect the car was one emergency stop away from a failure.

Hey Folks,

Been awhile since I have been able to work on the Duster due to work, the girls college orientations and house stuff. Finally got a bit of free time to hit the garage. Bench bled and mounted the new MC. Also fabricated a mounting bracket for the proportioning valve out of some stainless steel stock scrap.

Gotta install the residual pressure valve and route and bend new brake lines. Getting close!
