finding a 8.25 rear for an A Body

Hello new to the A body forum and world,, found a nice 68 Barracuda, slant powered, plan to keep it that way, has the small 7.25 rear,, would like to go up to a 8.25,,, question is where would i find an 8.25 rear dif assembly that fits an A body,, lots of them in the local pull a parts in old D-150's,, but how would one subtract the extra width between the drums,,

You would be best to just get an 8 3/4 rear buddy, several folks here have up for sale.

Parts are easy to get to.

I've got an 8 1/4 and 8 3/4 in Grand Rapids, MI I'm selling. 8 3/4 is for a b-body.

I also have an 8 1/4" rear axle. Mine comes with leaf springs and is complete. 2.76 gear no sure grip. Mine is a BBP as it came out of a 1976 Duster.
