I'm not putting everything back together. I was just wondering what should everythign be torqued to? Mainly the upper ball joint, and the nuts that attach the balljoints to the spindles. Also, should i put red or blue loctite on the balljoint nuts?

Thanks,
Daryl

blue is like a lock washer and red is like stud locker if I remember right so if you never want it to come apart again use red if you want it to stay together until you want it to come off then blue but I never use either on suspension myself thats what cotter pins and lock nuts are for

The '74 book for Dart & Val said
ball joint to control arm (upper) 125 foot pounds
ball joint stud nut (upper) 100
" " " " (lower) 100
steering knuckle bolts (upper) 55
" " " (lower) 160
Anyone have anything that differs? I'd hate to give you the wrong info. :!: Ray

Make sure you have the car back on the ground before you torque everything. Dont do it up in the air.

That would be true for stock rubber control arm bushings. Also you should have the ride height set too before tightening them down.

If you are using poly bushings it doesn't matter since the arm pivots on the bushing where the rubber twists.
