Theres a video of first start
It took longer than i thought to do the whole swap, but it was engine and trany swap... plus lots of reinforcing too

70 duster
6.4 out of SRT jeep
T56 kit from silver sport transmission
Mopar performance engine controller
MMX cam, throttle body and tuning
TTI 2" headers to 3" exhaust x pipe and to the bumper

some pix were still under construction

I kept the 6.4 intake runner motor, with factory windshield wiper motor!! And the computer is right in front of stereo, below wiper linkage..... its tight, but it all fits
Kept the glove box!! This is a street car! Lol

I got HP tuners to watch everything and see whats doin... maybe make simple adjustments (fan on temp or somethin).... but i have no clue how this tuning works.... i sure had the carb jets and air bleeds down, with adjusting the timing with the dizzy... this is a whole diff game now!
The guys at MMX really made this build about as easy as it gets!!

still gotta put the hood on, and i got a cool lid for that air box! It gets its air from next to the radiator.... about as fresh and cold as it gets! Hellcat style, but its a pretty big opening

Congrats, you look very happy in the video :)

You write that you kept the Intake Runner Motor, is that on the rear of your intake like on the 5.7 truck engine? In a recent thread the interference between it and the firewall/wiper motor is mentioned, how did you solve it?

This is from that thread:

Looks like it only needs an inch View attachment 1715503989

I just cut and welded a lil pocket in firewall for intake motor.... cant go too far in or you will hit wiper motor linkage.... its real tight
I couldnt find any pix of interior with clearance Of wiper linkage.... im at work on my phone

the black plate is where my wire harness comes in..... it splits in half, so the big plugs can feed threw, then bolt it up and slip a regular 2" grommet to seal it all up

That looks good, well thought out! You must be anxious to drive it.
How much work to install the tranny? Do you have a build thread?
I'm seriously thinking of putting a G3/manual trans in my 68 Barracuda so it's good to see stuff like this.

But that old washer bottle! UGH! It detracts from all the good stuff.

Great to see it running! Was wondering how the build was going. How was the silver sport swap kit? Can’t wait to hear your report on how it drove. Dustin

You've done a lot of hard work on that car. Very nice.

the kit all worked out perfect.... they supplied everything... its up to you to get it to fit tho.... but they give you new crossmember, oil, driveshaft, all hyd clutch stuff, and break fluid for clutch master!! only thing is my A body speedo cable is really stretched out to reach.... ill see what car has a speedo cable a few inches longer, like a b body cable or somethin.....and the funky shifter will sit in the garage... i just used my shifter off my 4speed.... ill report back once i hit the highway!! Lol

Awesome. Nice take on the upper radiator hose. I think my build recently turned from 408 to gen III, and I stood there looking at my radiator, wondering what I would Do. You nailed it.

That hose is off a 6.4 srt jeep
Just had to cut a few inches out the center... got a hose coupling from summit, painted the hose clamps black.... blends right in! Lol

That is awesome congratulations! I can only imagine the hours of hard work, and creative thinking that went into that! Two big thumps up man! Great job :thumbsup:
