Flashers 67 barracuda

Maybe Im not with it this morning but what am I checking on brake light switch?
 
Im no elec guru, it frustrates me, but the schematics and all the help I got from fabo helped dad n i figure it out. There is a wire from the flasher that runs thru the brake pedal switch. Make sure its connected properly
 
That flasher switch is a common fault. You hit the nail on the head when you said it may not have been moved for many years.
IfI needed working flashers to pass safety inspection, etc.., I would remove the switch and clean the contacts in it.
Otherwise I would just exercise it as you have and forget about it.
 
The switch is not just I toggle switch, I just sold one to another fabo member. I don't have any more. The wire end could've had corrosion. No I got a long ways to go on my cuda. It was my uncles & it was sitting out side in his drive for 37 years. I probably had one of my dads cars there. It would be either a yellow 68 dart sedan, green 68 gtx or a blue 67 gtx. I always try to make it to everyone. My uncle is always with his AAR cuda.
 
Is the aar a brownish color? Ive talked to him at local show and cruises.
 
Pulled the flasher switch, cleaned the terminal, lubed the switch, worked the switch back and forth and reinstalled now it seams to be working.
 
cool glade to hear it worked out for ya, yea my uncles AAR is burnt orange, hes a big guy u cant miss him lol, plus my uncle phill goes to he has a light blue convertible 62 valent
 
I know them both. Cant wait till spring, I think I will take mine out for a ten miles run today.
