I had an A-500 built and when I picked it up the guy gave a me a core converter. Turns out he built the trans with HD parts and I'll need someone to rebuild this converter or I need to know who builds a converter that will work for my project. I'm only looking for 2000 or so stall. It is a lock up converter and I'm only running a 300 hp 360 through it for now. Any and all help much appreciated.

Use a 999 lock up converter. Some 998s had them as well. Or a torque converter shop can change the hub. Kim
To change the hub on the converter, the converter must be cut apart. While it's apart, why not get it rebuilt or as it has been mentioned to you, contact PTC. Converters are a sealed unit, so while they may look good externally, there is no way to know the condition of it inside. Items like the sprag may be on it's last leg, and if it's a lockup converter the lockup lining could be contaminated. Spend your $$$$ wisely.
