flat or satin paint on a dart

I have, thanks to FABO members, decided to paint my '68 'Cuda satin black. I have seen some different satin paints with different levels of sheen. I plan on mixing some various amounts of gloss black with satin black and shoot some test panels to help me decide. That time will be down the road a bit, but you guys have helped me decide already.

I've been wondering this for a few months. What's the difference between hot rod black and flat or satin? I'm planning on satin for my 65 Cuda.

From what I gather (I've just read this) Flat black you can't wax, and spots from bird poop or whatever are there for good.
