Flat tires

Has anyone tried to heat up model tires to make them look flat? Been doing a few "as found" models and would like to make some look flat

As a kid, I used to heat up the bodies of cars and bend em up like they had fender benders !

Sit the tires on a hot surface instead of melting the tires.

I would replace a section of the body with an old pie tin

Then paint it like you normally would and now you got a body panel that can be damaged just like the real deal, right down to the shiny metal underneath
