Flex Fuel (51-83%)

-
When I was driving my 92 Variable fuel I drove 100 miles a day to work and back.

There was an E85 station on my way.

One day I decided to see what would happen to my M85 car if I used E85. Ran fine!

Only thing I noticed was I had to fill up every 3 to 4 days vs 4 to 5 on gas.

It was cheaper per gallon but was a wash with the lost efficiency

So just say if I fill up at the pump and the mix is E70 what all would I need to do to steer away from detonation? Jet change and dial back timing?

I'd give Eric Niefert with Horsepower Innovations or Mark Sullens E85 Carbs a call. They may have the info ya need on their web page. I've heard there can be quite a swing in the ethanol content before issues arise.

Got a reply email from Rob Mix (E85Carbs). He said E70 is a wintermix, E85 as summer. He said even with E50 it'll still have the octane I'd need for my engine!!
