Flip top gas cap question?

I've got one, and got the adapter to put it on my A-body, but it's got a busted latch spring...anyone know a reasonable method for getting the pins out of these to try and fix it? Also, if I can get it apart, I'd like to send it to Leanna for powder coating. Thanks in advance for any info.

******UPDATE******

Halfway there. Got the pin for the latch removed with my trusty dremel tool and a diamond cutting wheel. The cap to base side is a bit tighter, so I'm gonna look into using a tap to thread the interior of the roll pin and pull it out with a machine screw. Wish me luck.
