That's one of the radio station's I grew up with. KXOK mostly, because in the early 60's, very few cars had FM radios. If there was an FM radio around, it was KSHE!!

I the early the early 60's KSHE was a pretty new station, and as I said, not a lot of FM radios around. This guy was the king of rock in St. Louis when I was a kid.
FM? In the Mighty Mojave Desert? Surely you jest . Our "go to" until we got through Cajon Pass. The only FM we had, we had to get from the TV cable connection KLOS, KMET (Dr Demento on Sunday afternoons), Kearth101.
