Glenn Campbell was one of the best guitarists people have never heard. He'd be in my top 10.
No doubt. I just never pictured him in formal attire, in front of an orchestra, and playing The William Tell Overture. I was pretty young when he had his TV show, but I don't remember him doing a lot of real intricate guitar work. Later in my life his talent really hit home with me.
Another one would be high on my list would be Jerry Reed.
Roy Clark also.
